Profile The Institute for Southeast Asian Studies, Jeonbuk National University (JISEAS) launched in December 2018. JISEAS pursues multidisciplinary research by taking advantage of a hub university in South Korea, Jeonbuk National University, which is home to 17 colleges and 108 departments. As the first multidisciplinary study, we have begun a research project on Southeast Asia’s labor, public health, and welfare with our affiliated academics from various disciplines such as politics, anthropology, history, and nursing. As of April 2021, it has a total of 66 members, including two full-time researchers, faculty members of Jeonbuk National University and guest researchers.
