Background | Since 2007, about 100 civil society activists have studied topics related to civil society such as human rights, sustainable development, peace, etc. at the MAINS program of SungKongHoe University. The visit to Gwangju on 18 May has been part of the traditional study tour for all MAINS students, and they have played a role in practicing the May 18 spirit in their own country in various fields since their return to their own country after the graduation. The MAINS session is to facilitate their virtual reunion to strengthen their network to promote solidarity among them and beyond. All MAINS alumni and students are invited to share their perspectives and experiences about building stronger social movements in Asia for democracy. |
